Monkilla ("we", "the app") is a free web and Android app for everyday money tasks. It has three parts: (1) offline tools — calculators, converters and trackers; (2) MonkSplit — split bills with friends; and (3) Monk Society — manage a housing society's maintenance and events. This policy explains what data each part uses.
The calculators, converters, birthday reminders, home-expense and other offline tools do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. They have no login and work fully offline. Anything you enter is saved only in the app's private storage on your own device and never leaves your phone. The optional Live Scores feature fetches public sports data from our server; those requests contain no personal information.
MonkSplit and Monk Society are optional features that require you to sign in with Google. If you use them:
You can delete your MonkSplit / Monk Society account and personal data at any time — in the app or on the website via Profile → Delete my account, or by emailing us. Full instructions are on our account & data deletion page. Deleting removes your name, email, photo and profile; entries in shared groups remain visible to the other members so their records stay accurate, with your personal contact details removed.
If you enable notifications (e.g. birthday reminders), the app schedules them locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us or anyone else.
The app may request notification permission. It requests no location, contacts, camera, microphone, or file access.
Monkilla is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. The offline tools collect no data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
