No signups, no uploads, no hidden costs. Here’s why we built a growing collection of free calculators and converters at Monkilla — and how they save you time, money and privacy every day.
The internet is full of “free” tools that aren’t really free. You go to convert an image, and suddenly you’re asked to sign up, hand over your email, wait through ads, or upload your private documents to a server you know nothing about. Then the download has a watermark, or the “free” version is crippled until you pay.
At Monkilla, we thought that was backwards. So we built a collection of genuinely free, genuinely private tools — and made them work the way tools should. Here’s the thinking behind them, and why they might save you real time and money.
Everything runs in your browser
This is the single most important thing to understand about our tools. When you use our image-to-PDF converter, QR code generator, or any calculator, the work happens on your own device — not on a distant server. Your files and numbers never get uploaded anywhere.
Why does that matter? Because privacy shouldn’t be a luxury. When you convert a photo of your Aadhaar card, PAN card, or a bank statement into a PDF on some random website, you’re trusting a stranger with sensitive documents. With browser-based tools, there’s simply nothing to trust — the file goes from your gallery to your downloads folder without ever touching the internet.
No signup, no account, no email
You should not have to create an account just to calculate a loan EMI or count words in an essay. None of our tools ask you to register. Open the page, use the tool, close the tab. That’s it. We’re not collecting your email to sell you anything later.

We keep these tools free by showing unobtrusive ads — that’s the whole business model. No premium tiers, no paywalls, no “upgrade to unlock.” A student in a small town gets exactly the same tools as anyone else, at exactly the same price: nothing.
Built for India, useful everywhere
Many of our tools are shaped around Indian needs — rupee formatting, GST rates with CGST/SGST splits, EPF and NPS rules, and festival-aware calendars. But the calculators and converters work for anyone, anywhere.
