How to Create a Strong Password You Won't Forget
Most accounts get hacked not by genius hackers, but by weak or reused passwords. The good news: strong passwords are easy to make once you know the rules.
What makes a password strong?
Two things: length and randomness. A short password like "Ram@123" can be cracked in seconds. A 16-character random mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols would take longer than the age of the universe to brute-force. Length matters even more than complexity — every extra character multiplies the difficulty.
The biggest mistake: reuse
Using the same password everywhere is the real danger. When one website is breached (and breaches happen constantly), attackers try that same email-and-password combo on your bank, email and social accounts. One leak becomes many. Every account deserves its own unique password.
How to manage so many passwords
You're not expected to memorise dozens of random strings. Use a reputable password manager to store them, and only remember one strong master password. For the master password, a long passphrase — four or five random words strung together — is both strong and memorable.
